We’ve had a physical store in Des Moines, Iowa since 2001 and we’ve used a great IBM multi terminal computer running the Datatron auto parts software to run our entire business. With this system, we store customer purchase records from day one, have an awesome inventory control system, full general ledger, and the most complete business management system we’ve seen. BUT – it doesn’t interface to any type of internet shopping cart system. We’re confident it is to the advantage of our customers and our business to keep this system in place and still offer this on-line ordering site.

So…. When you order from this site your order is pulled from our cart system and processed thru our IBM system. The only complication we see is that we are unable to easily indicate “out of stock” items. We actually stock every item that is shown on this site, but it is possible you may order an item that is temporarily out of stock due to excess demand, factory backorder, or an order we are waiting to receive.

In the event you place an order that contains any item that we don’t currently have, we will notify you immediately with the options we have for you. On ANY item you order from this site that we do not currently have, we will ship to you as soon as possible at no additional shipping or handling cost to you. Of course if our supplier is currently backordering the item to us it becomes a difficult issue and we’ll try to find a similar item for you or even a competitor that may have what you need. In any case we will keep communicating with you until we’ve satisfied your need.
